Overview

TentaRoot is a tier 2 creature with a very small health pool — it will not survive more than a few hits from any normal weapon. Fire is its only weakness, so a torch or fire arrow ends it fastest; poison does nothing at all, and frost is barely effective. Chop and pickaxe attacks are completely ignored, so do not bother switching to those tools. Any standard slash, blunt, or pierce weapon will drop it quickly.

Tactics

A TentaRoot has 20 health and sits at progression tier 2, so it goes down fast to almost anything you carry at that stage. The damage table does the real work here: fire is the only weakness, so a fire arrow or a torch hit ends it in one or two swings. Frost is resisted and poison is ignored outright, so leave those weapons at home.

Chop and pickaxe damage are ignored entirely. Do not waste an axe or pickaxe on it; you will be there longer than the fight is worth. Blunt, pierce, slash, lightning, and spirit all deal normal damage, meaning your standard mace, sword, or spear handles it fine.

The creature has no special resistances that force a loadout change, and at 20 health it is not a threat on its own. The main thing to watch is not the fight itself but what else is nearby when you engage. Kill it with whatever you have, prefer fire if it is convenient, and move on. There is nothing in the data suggesting it can be tamed, so treat it as a straightforward kill.
