What this database collects

This public database has no reader accounts and does not ask you to submit personal information. Browsing, searching, filtering, and comparing entries are server-rendered features.

Requests and analytics

As with any website, the hosting infrastructure receives request information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as the requested path, time, IP address, and browser headers, and may keep operational and security logs. To count readers, each page asks your browser to send one small request after it loads, naming the page you viewed. From that we keep the page path, the date and time, and a visitor code computed from your address and browser together with a secret that changes every day — so the same visitor cannot be recognised from one day to the next or across our sites. We do not store your IP address or your browser's identifying string. These records are deleted after 45 days; only daily totals are kept after that. Blocking JavaScript stops this request and changes nothing else. This application does not load Microsoft Clarity.

Pins and local storage

If you pin entries for comparison, your browser stores those selections on this device under a key scoped to valheim. The selection is used only to keep your comparison tray between pages. Blocking JavaScript or local storage does not prevent browsing or using the page-level comparison forms.
